About the Role

We are seeking an Oven Lead to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Oven Lead, you will oversee the oven area operations, ensuring product formation, slicing, and alignment meet specifications, while maintaining sanitation standards and training team members.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 3rd
• Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $20.00 – $21.25

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Ensure product formation, slicing, and alignment meet specifications from proofer plates through oven exit and onto cooling conveyor.
• Monitor product quality throughout the baking process and assist operator with proof box and oven process controls.
• Coordinate, train, and direct oven area employees while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Manage cutting blade maintenance, sharpness, and proper disposal procedures.
• Complete accurate and timely data entry for all production records.
• Utilize Aspire AOE training with Centerline and CIL daily management systems.
• Participate in root cause analysis, daily area walks, and continuous improvement initiatives while training others on standard work procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to write clearly and legibly and possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and responds well to questions; participates in meetings.
• Ability to work with computers and operating screens.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Prior experience in bakery or food manufacturing operations.
• Familiarity with GMPs and safety protocols.
