About the Role

We are seeking a Packaging Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Packaging Operator, you will plan, organize, and coordinate daily activities in the Packaging and Retail Bagging Departments, ensuring adherence to production schedules and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 2nd
• Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $20

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Ensure adherence to daily production, packaging, and retail bagging schedules.
• Coordinate and assign tasks to team members in packaging and retail bagging departments.
• Verify metal detector functionality and perform regular tests per QA guidelines.
• Monitor blast freezer and core product temperatures to meet specifications.
• Adjust and prepare inkjet coder for production and ensure accuracy of lot codes, bar codes, and labels.
• Maintain adequate inventory of packaging materials for daily operations.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack to move products, including freezer transfers.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety protocols, and company procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Packaging Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules and safety guidelines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform tasks in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of inventory control software.
• Forklift certification.
