About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 1, Bakery – Rheon Relief to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 1, Bakery – Rheon Relief, you will be accountable for operating and monitoring the Rheon production line to ensure product quality, food safety, and production goals are consistently achieved. This role plays a critical part in coordinating line activities, maintaining process controls, minimizing waste, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Hourly rate: $20

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Operate and monitor Rheon line equipment to ensure products meet quality and production specifications.
  • Coordinate daily line activities to achieve scheduled production targets while minimizing waste.
  • Inspect and adjust process control settings to maintain product consistency and line efficiency.
  • Lead and support line team members by providing direction, training, and clear communication.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and process documentation in a timely manner.
  • Promote compliance with GMP, food safety, health, and safety requirements throughout the production area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and AOE initiatives.

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience as an Ingredient Operator or in a related manufacturing or production role.
  • Ability to understand and operate production process controls and make adjustments as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of dough handling, bakery processes, or food manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret scales, temperature readings, and production data accurately.
  • Basic math, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, twist, push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and work in a production environment with flour dust and varying temperatures.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing, bakery, production, or packaging environment.
  • Experience operating automated production equipment or process control systems.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards.
  • Experience participating in continuous improvement, Centerline, CIL, or Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience in a production environment.
