About the Role
We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery-Oven – 3rd Shift to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery-Oven – 3rd Shift, you will be accountable for operating and supporting proofing and baking processes to ensure products meet quality, food safety, and production standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient product flow through the bakery while supporting a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment.

- Shift: 3rd Shift
- Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $21
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate and monitor proofing and baking equipment to achieve quality and production objectives.
- Inspect products and verify baking characteristics meet established specifications.
- Maintain product alignment and flow through proofing, baking, and cooling systems.
- Adjust process controls to support consistency, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Complete sanitation and housekeeping activities in accordance with company standards.
- Accurately document production records and system data.
- Follow food safety, GMP, Lockout/Tagout, and workplace safety requirements.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months of experience as an Ingredient Operator or in a related manufacturing or food production role.
- Ability to understand production process controls and make operational adjustments as needed.
- Basic knowledge of dough handling, bakery production processes, or food manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and accurately document production, scale, and temperature data.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot production environments, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, production, or packaging environment.
- Experience operating automated processing or production equipment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, and sanitation procedures.
- Basic computer skills and experience using production monitoring screens or electronic data entry systems.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
