About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 2 to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an Operator 2, you will set up, operate, and monitor high-speed bakery production lines to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality output. This role is critical in maintaining compliance with food safety, GMP, and health standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Shift: 2nd
• Hours: 2:00 - 10:30PM
• Weekend Availability: Required 

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $21–$22 per hour

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Set up, operate, and monitor high-speed continuous donut/bread production lines.
• Maintain ongoing communication with team members to ensure process continuity and quality standards.
• Prepare and monitor production line equipment, ensuring sensors, guides, and safety features are functioning.
• Verify raw materials and ingredient feed levels meet specifications.
• Review temperature and timing parameters for compliance with standards.
• Record issues and corrective actions in the production log; escalate unresolved problems to Maintenance.
• Operate pallet jack to move products as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in AOE pillar activities.
• Uphold hygiene, safety, and GMP standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient in using computers and navigating operating screens.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately to meet production demands.
• Knowledge of GMP standards and commitment to safety.
• Flexible availability to work all assigned shifts.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication in English (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Prior experience in a fast-paced production or packing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
• Frequent lifting between 10 and 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull 10–30 lbs frequently.
• Adequate communication and observational skills (seeing, speaking, hearing).
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.

Work Environment

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Continuous exposure to cold conditions and rapid temperature changes.
• Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions and heat.
• Tolerance for flour dust required.
• Noise level is typically moderate but can occasionally be loud.
