About the Role
We are seeking a Relief Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Relief Operator, you will provide operational coverage across multiple production lines by collaborating with machine operators and leads while following all equipment manuals and Aspire SOPs. This role ensures adherence to GMPs, health and safety rules, and food safety practices during relief assignments.

- Shift: 3rd
- Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $23.50 per hour
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Provide operational coverage across multiple production lines while following SOPs and equipment manuals.
- Maintain compliance with GMPs, health and safety rules, and food safety practices during relief assignments.
- Utilize Aspire AOE training with Centerline and CIL daily management systems.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining standard work procedures.
- Perform daily area walks to detect issues and defects to help reduce and maintain waste levels.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months as an Ingredient Operator or related experience.
- Ability to understand and operate mixing process controls and make adjustments when necessary.
- Basic knowledge of dough mixing and operating mixing equipment.
- Ability to write clearly and legibly and possess basic verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work with computers and operating screens.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced production or packing environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms.
- Frequent lifting between 10 and 100 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to push/pull 10–30 lbs frequently.
- Adequate communication and observational skills (seeing, speaking, hearing).
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color vision.
Work Environment
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.
- Continuous exposure to cold conditions and rapid temperature changes.
- Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions and heat.
- Tolerance for flour dust required.
- Noise level is typically moderate but can occasionally be loud.
