About the Role
We are seeking an Operator 3, Relief, to join our team at our Swedesboro bakery. As an Operator 3, Relief, you will be accountable for providing consistent coverage across multiple production line positions—including Mixer, Sheeter, Oven, and Packing—to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations throughout the daily production run.

Hours: 6AM -2:30PM
Weekend Availability: Required

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Provide relief coverage across multiple Line 7 roles to maintain uninterrupted production during breaks and absences.
- Follow all job‑specific procedures, SOPs, and equipment manual requirements for each assigned workstation.
- Support continuous improvement by using AOE tools, participating in problem‑solving activities, and identifying ways to reduce waste.
- Collaborate closely with machine Operators, Leads, and Production teams to ensure consistent product quality and performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with GMP and Health & Safety requirements.
- Report safety hazards, potential contamination, unusual behavior, or tool discrepancies immediately to leadership.
- Demonstrate strong adherence to food safety practices, including hygiene standards, tool control, and spill response.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of experience as an Ingredient Operator or in a related production role.
- Ability to understand and operate mixing controls and adjust when necessary.
- Basic knowledge of dough mixing and operation of mixing equipment.
- Ability to read scale and temperature measurements and document ingredients/mixing data accurately.
- Strong math and reasoning skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide; problem‑resolution capabilities).
- Ability to write clearly and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work with computers and production operating screens.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Prior experience in a fast‑paced production or packing environment.
- Experience training others or working in multiple production stations.
- Exposure to GMPs, food safety, and continuous improvement programs.
- Ability to identify process variation and recommend improvements.
- Familiarity with AOE, Centerline, or CIL systems.
