About the Role
We are seeking a Shift Manager – 3rd Shift to join our team at our Swedesboro bakery. As a Shift Manager, you will be accountable for leading all 3rd‑shift production operations, supporting Supervisors, driving safe and efficient execution of production plans, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Shift: 3rd
Hours: 10PM – 6:30AM
Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
Salary Range: $105,000 - $115,000
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Lead, coach, and support 3rd‑shift Supervisors and teams to ensure consistent and efficient execution of production plans.
- Serve as the primary decision‑maker for shift operations, resolving issues and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Ensure proper staffing, line performance, and adherence to production schedules and SKU‑specific requirements.
- Drive compliance with GMPs, safety standards, quality expectations, and company procedures across all production lines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including planning, scheduling, and quality to align shift activities with production goals.
- Monitor shift performance and communicate updates, issues, and needs to the Senior Operations Manager.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for operational, equipment, or workforce efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High school diploma: associate or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- 7–10 years of experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- 3–5 years of people‑leadership experience supervising leads, supervisors, or managing full shifts/teams.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule periodically to support production or project needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with MRP/shop‑floor systems such as SAP.
- Ability to read, interpret, and act on production schedules, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively to groups.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Working knowledge of Spanish.
- Experience in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing.
- Prior experience managing multiple production lines simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret operational data.
- Experience supporting capital or equipment justification processes.
