About the Role

We are seeking an FSQA Supervisor to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As an FSQA Supervisor, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring food safety and quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards, and providing leadership to the FSQA team.


Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 1st
  • Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Weekend Availability: May be required

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000 annually

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food regulations and standards (FDA, local health, GFSI, BRCGS).
  • Maintain and enforce Aspire Bakeries Integrated Management System (AIMS) including GMPs and Food Safety Plan.
  • Monitor and achieve department KPIs while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to maintain product safety, legality, and quality.
  • Manage documentation control and participate in audits and inspections.
  • Lead root cause analysis for customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise FSQA Technicians, including training, development, and performance management.
  • Place and manage product holds in SAP for nonconformities and coordinate disposition.
  • Participate in sensory evaluations, environmental monitoring, and weekly bakery inspections.
  • Serve as backup for FSQA Manager during audits and regulatory visits.
  • Support food safety culture initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • 3–5 years of experience in food processing, food safety, and quality assurance.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of HARPC, HACCP, USDA, FDA regulations.
  • Experience with GFSI, BRC, SQF audits.
  • PCQI and HACCP training preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and statistical programs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Experience in environmental monitoring programs.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
