About the Role

We are seeking a Sanitation Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Sanitation Operator, you will be accountable for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across production, office, and support areas to ensure facility hygiene and audit readiness.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 2nd
• Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Weekend Availability: Required

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $20–$22

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

• Maintain cleanliness of floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and facility surfaces per schedule.
• Collect and dispose of trash from offices, breakrooms, and production areas.
• Remove and compact cardboard waste using designated equipment.
• Perform detailed cleaning of production line components during sanitation down-days.
• Operate floor scrubbers and washing machines to maintain safe flooring.
• Keep sanitation tools and equipment clean and ready for use.
• Assist in preparing the facility for inspections, audits, and customer visits.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to work in variable temperature environments (hot, cold, humid).
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and sanitation down-days.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Prior experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
