About the Role
We are seeking a Packaging Supervisor to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Packaging Supervisor, you will be accountable for ensuring that all packaged products meet quality standards, coordinating daily operations, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Shift: 3rd Shift
Hours: 10:00 pm – 6:30 am
Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $24.75 – $26.50
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Monitor and maintain product quality standards throughout packaging operations
- Coordinate and assign daily tasks to team members to meet production schedules
- Ensure proper operation of packaging equipment, including metal detectors and labeling systems
- Maintain accurate documentation for packaging processes and case counts
- Oversee freezer and product temperature compliance and report deviations promptly
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and maintain material inventory for packaging needs
- Enforce safety, GMP, and quality assurance standards across the department
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Bilingual proficiency
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
- Willingness to work in cold environments and near moving mechanical parts
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging operations
- Forklift certification and safe driving experience
- Knowledge of GMP and food safety regulations
- Leadership experience in a production environment
- Familiarity with automated packaging systems
