About the Role

We are seeking a Mixing Operator II to join our team at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. As a Mixing Operator II, you will be accountable for accurately preparing and mixing ingredients according to recipe specifications, ensuring dough achieves required texture and temperature targets. You will support efficient production by monitoring dough flow to downstream equipment, maintaining ingredient inventory, and upholding food‑safety, quality, and sanitation standards.

 

Shift & Schedule

  • Shift: 2nd
  • Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Weekend availability: Required

 

Compensation

  • Hourly Rate: $20.75 – $22.50

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Prepare, scale, and mix ingredients according to recipes, ensuring correct sequencing, time, and temperature
  • Monitor dough temperature, texture, and development to meet product specifications
  • Maintain ingredient inventory, refrigerated storage standards, and incorporate rework per specification
  • Support dough flow by monitoring Rheon Line capacity and communicating adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including mixing records, weights, and SAP data entry
  • Ensure clean, organized, and food‑safe mixing, cooler, and ingredient staging areas
  • Uphold GMP, HACCP, allergen, and food‑safety requirements and report concerns promptly

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, write, and accurately complete documentation in English
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in temperature‑controlled areas
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions consistently

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Prior mixing or dough‑handling experience
  • Experience in bakery or food‑manufacturing environments
  • Understanding of SAP or production data‑entry systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and ingredient‑handling procedures
