The primary responsibilities will be to efficiently and effectively direct the production administration area overseen the compilation process and gathering of records of the production data and reports on production volumes, control the production budget to assure proper inventory of the tools needs for the production area, monitor the accuracy of the inventory consumption of raw materials thru analysis in Movex coordinates all NPD for Bakery production, create procedures to meet the recipe, process and quality control requirements, provide guidance to the production team to assure that all the process standards are met  and other aspects of production by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors the production of production charts, based on statistics compiled, for reference by production and management personnel.
  • Reviews production/operating reports in a timely manner providing explanations and insights on manufacturing issues that may trigger the brainstorming necessary to develop solutions.
  • Generates a 24-hour lines efficiency summary report, 24 hours waste summary report to provide the shift supervisors and upper management a daily view of the bakery performance.
  • Coordinate all NPD for Bakery production including trial planning, execution, production costing forecast and documentation.
  • Direct auditing of the accuracy of the ingredient’s consumption reported in SAP by the lead mixer or Rheon leads when each PO is finished.
  • Develops, recommends and implements changes in working conditions to improve employee performance and product quality. This will include driving the process of creating and updating training manuals for the various production jobs a process in which he will be assisted by the Production Coordinator. 
  • Ensure that the proper awarding process is followed for the shift staff needs to meet the production schedules for the production supervisor in the products manufacturing process.
  • Participates as an active member of production management team.
  • Prepares and presents production data to the Bakery Manufacturing Manager.
  • Ensures that the shifts supervisors’ reporting is done on a timely manner.
  • Develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, cycle times and summit to Bakery Manufacturing Manager.
  • Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to Bakery Manufacturing Manager for action.
  • Overall administrative responsibility for the production unit (such as performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.)
  • Take responsibility for all activities on site in the absence of Senior Management.
  • Ensure that timely written work schedules are made to the temporary agency based on established production needs, guidelines and priorities if required. 
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards (i.e. BRC, SQF)
  • Develop and implement log and inspection procedures, records and reports to ensure that tasks are preformed to expectations, documented and validated.
  • Develop and monitor sanitation department budget and expenditures.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science-related area, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience with at least 10 years Production & sanitation management experience within the food industry
  • 15-20 years food processing & sanitation experience including leadership experience
  • Experienced in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Travel requirements: 10%
