About the Role
We are seeking an Operator 2, Bakery - Batcher 1 - 3rd Shift to join our team at our Cayce, SC Bakery. As an Operator 2, Bakery - Batcher 1 - 3rd Shift, you will be accountable for operating production equipment, ensuring products are prepared according to established specifications, and maintaining food safety and quality standards. This role is essential to supporting efficient production operations while delivering consistent, high-quality bakery products.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3rd Shift
- Hours: 9:45pm-6:15am
- Weekend Availability: Required by the business
Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
- Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure products meet established specifications.
- Adjust and troubleshoot machinery to maintain efficient production and product quality.
- Maintain equipment settings, production supplies, and operational readiness.
- Complete required production documentation and reports accurately.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain clean, organized production areas and equipment in accordance with sanitation requirements.
- Communicate production, quality, maintenance, safety, and hygiene concerns to appropriate personnel.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations.
- Strong communication and observational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing production demands.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a high-performing team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation and perform physical activities including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of production equipment and bakery products.
- Equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
