About the Role
We are seeking a Packaging Operator (Bakery) to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As a Packaging Operator, you will be accountable for ensuring baked products meet quality specifications, packaging products manually and with machinery, and supporting safe, efficient, and compliant production operations.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3rd
- Hours: 10PM – 6:30AM
- Weekend availability: Required
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate and adjust packaging equipment to maintain accurate product specifications
- Package baked products manually or using machinery to meet production requirements
- Maintain equipment settings, monitor supply levels, and ensure work areas are clean and organized
- Identify and report safety, quality, maintenance, or hygiene concerns to appropriate personnel
- Support food‑safety compliance by following GMPs and adhering to production schedules and running orders
- Ensure documentation is completed accurately and on time
- Perform additional production duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of basic production equipment and packaging operations
- Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift as required for the role
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Prior experience in the food manufacturing or bakery industry
- Familiarity with automated packaging equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team
- Understanding of food‑safety requirements and GMP standards
