About the Role

 

We are seeking an FSQA Technician II to join our team. As an FSQA Technician II, you will be accountable for ensuring food safety, quality, packaging, and labeling compliance through inspections, audits, monitoring activities, and verification programs. This role is vital in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting food safety initiatives, and ensuring bakery products consistently meet Aspire Bakeries’ quality standards.

 

Shift & Schedule

 

  • Shift: 1st Shift
  • Hours: 5:45 AM – 2:15 PM
  • Weekend Availability: As needed based on business requirements

 

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

 

  • Monitor food safety and quality systems to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and AIMS procedures.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and verification activities for GMPs, hygiene, allergen controls, HACCP, and preventive controls.
  • Evaluate raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to identify and report quality or food safety concerns.
  • Verify packaging, labeling, coding, lot traceability, net weight compliance, and recipe adherence.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits through documentation review and corrective action follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of sampling, testing, monitoring, and quality verification activities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement in food safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

 

 

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain HARPC and GFSI certification (BRC, SQF, or equivalent) within one year of hire.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP, cGMPs, preventive controls, and quality systems.
  • Ability to operate testing and measuring equipment, including scales, metal detectors, imaging devices, and ovens.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and SAP.
  • Strong communication, observation, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

 

  • Some college coursework in food science, biological sciences, or a related field.
  • HARPC certification.
  • GFSI certification or experience with BRC, SQF, or equivalent food safety standards.
  • Internal Auditor training or audit experience.
  • Food manufacturing equipment troubleshooting and process improvement experience.
