Position Purpose

Managing and maintaining the highest levels of inventory integrity for Aspire Bakeries while demonstrating fiscal responsibility through diligent analysis and reconciliation of inventory movements. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Determining where to position inventory to ensure adequate supply at all IC’s.
  • Ensuring open orders in system are closed and inventory is in proper locations.
  • Book value comparison and reconciliation between Aspire Bakeries and IC records.
  • Identify inventory risks (OSMI) and determine course of action with process owners.
  • Managing the control of “on hold” product at all internal and external IC’s.
  • Liaising with financial auditors and warehouses as required.
  • Conducting and leading mock recalls for audit compliance, quality concerns, etc.
  • Review and analyze regional inventories to detect discrepancies. 
  • Prepare U.S. Customs related documents.
  • Confirm and file daily receipts for raw, pack, and finished goods.
  • SAP related activities as required such as inventory adjustments, portal requests,etc.
  • Prepare and communicate local material transfers.
  • Administer and reconcile raw, pack, and finished goods cycle counts.
  • Back up support to Warehouse Supervisor when needed.
  • Adhere to GMPs, and Health and Safety rules.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and clear of hazards.
  • Prepare documents for courier shipments when needed.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to Supervisor immediately.
  • Use all prescribed personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followed.
  • Be the train the trainer for PIT equipment.
  • Participate in health and safety meetings and inspections.
  • Assist in BRC compliance initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

 

  • Strong computer skills (SAP, Excel, MS Word).
  • Education, certification, experience in a related field (CITT, PLog, CPICS)
  • Ability to multi task and meet critical timelines consistently.
  • Ability to operate independently and take calculated risk without fear of failure.
  • Pride in their work and accomplishments.
  • Ability to priorize and multitask.

 

Required

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education with good oral and written English skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and nights.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Understands the basics in inventory controls.
  • Proven good attendance record.

 

Preferred

  • Minimum 1 year practical experience on electric reach stackers and pallet jacks.
  • Knowledge on how to utilize SAP / inventory systems and RF guns.
  • Able to understand the scheduling process, quality training, safety policies & procedures.
