Managing and maintaining the highest levels of inventory integrity for Aspire Bakeries while demonstrating fiscal responsibility through diligent analysis and reconciliation of inventory movements. 

 

Accountabilities:

  • Compliance to Corporate cycle count accuracy objectives.
  • Trained dept. staff on inventory related activities.
  • Accurate warehouse inventories.
  • High case fill rates in Inventory Centres (I.C.’s).
  • Positive interpersonal relationships.
  • Safe working environment.
  • Alchemy and dept. training up to date.
  • BRC audit compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Determine where to position inventory to ensure adequate supply at all I.C.’s considering deployment requisitions.
  • Ensure all open orders are closed and inventory is in proper locations.
  • Administer and reconcile physical inventory counts of parts, raw, pack, & finished goods inventories.
  • Maintain weekly OSMI reports to identify inventory risks and determine course of action by engaging process owners.
  • Initiate weekly reviews of QA Hold inventories.
  • Achieve superuser status with SAP and perform general SAP-related duties.
  • Schedule dates for the execution of all physical inventories as required. 
  • Conduct and lead logistics recalls for quality concerns, audits, mock compliance, etc.
  • Schedule and liaise with financial auditors and warehouses when needed.
  • Review and analyse regional inventories to detect discrepancies, storage location (SLOC) errors, qty, mfg. dates, etc. 
  • Train warehouse team on job-related SAP activities.
  • Prepare and communicate local material transfers.
  • General Logistics administration as required.
  • Complete required dept. and Alchemy training.
  • Daily review of production inventory (PSAM) and coordinate with Production team to reconcile.
  • Perform system adjustments as required.
  • Communicate appointment times with carriers.
  • Ensure GMP’s and safe food handling practices are being followed.
  • Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to Supervisor immediately.
  • Use all prescribed personal protective equipment when required.
  • As part of food security, report any unusual people or behaviour to Supervisor.
  • Administer and reconcile maintenance PM’s.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education with good oral and written English skills required.
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends and nights required.
  • Educated, certified, and experienced in a Logistics related field (CITT, PLog, Apics) preferred.
  • Minimum 1-year of practical experience on electric reach stackers and pallet jacks preferred.
  • Knowledge of how to utilize SAP program and RF guns.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Understands the basics of inventory controls.
  • Must be able to understand the scheduling process, quality training, and safety policies/procedures.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Proven leader within a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical timelines consistently.
  • Capable of working independently and take calculated risks without fear of failure.
  • Takes pride in their work and accomplishments.
