About the Role
We are seeking a Production Worker to join our team at our Winnipeg bakery. As a Production Worker, you will be accountable for safely handling and packaging baked products while maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and line efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Rotating Continental
- Hours: 12‑hour shifts
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $18.28
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Operate and monitor high‑speed production lines to ensure consistent flow and product placement
- Maintain product quality by inspecting items throughout production and removing defective or waste product
- Uphold GMPs, PPE requirements, and health & safety standards while maintaining a clean workstation
- Support production efficiency by communicating quality or safety concerns to supervisors
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow all standard food‑handling practices
- Collaborate with team members to maintain continuous workflow and meet production targets
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform repetitive motions, stand for long periods, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Understanding of GMPs, hygiene requirements, and safety procedures (after training)
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Ability to work all assigned shifts with flexibility
- Previous experience in factory, warehouse, or food‑manufacturing environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with leads and coworkers
- Knowledge of basic production equipment functions
