Key Accountabilities:
Scale / Mix ingredients in an accurate and efficient manner according to production needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work in accordance with Company policies, Departmental procedures, GMP regulations and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain product efficiency standards.
- Be familiar with the safe, efficient operation of all mixing and associated equipment.
- Scale / mix products in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork, (i.e. Complete pre-op inspection checks, etc.)
- Communicate any product deficiencies to Line Operator / Lead hand, QA/Supervisor.
- Prepare ingredients for return for warehouse with proper SAP data entry
- Proper documentation of waste and damages.
- Awareness and adherence to product specifications i.e. scaling instructions, lot codes, specific gravity, weight, time. Temperature and mixing instructions etc.
- Ensure rework and perishable ingredients are used in a timely manner to avoid loss.
- Must be capable of performing Mixer Assistant responsibilities.
- Understand and observe company policies.
- Good housekeeping in assigned work area.
- Knowledge in handling allergens.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Required:
- Good understanding and application of English oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to understand the scheduling process, quality training and safety policies and procedures after training completion
- Completed (minimum) Grade 12 education or equivalent, with basic math skills
Preferred
- Able to work all shifts as assigned with open flexibility
- Able to effectively communicate with leads, co-workers and department staff from all areas of operation
- Previous experience in factory or warehouse setting is considered an asset
- Has knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment
