About the Role
We are seeking a Mixer to join our team at our Winnipeg bakery. As a Mixer, you will be responsible for accurately scaling, assembling, and mixing ingredients according to formulas and production schedules to ensure a consistent, high‑quality dough supply that keeps production running smoothly.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Rotating Continental
- Hours: 12‑hour shifts
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Pay Range: $18.28
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
- Scale and mix ingredients accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements
- Operate and maintain mixing and related equipment to ensure safe and consistent performance
- Complete required documentation, including pre‑op checks, scaling records, and waste logs
- Communicate product or process deviations to supervisors and production leads
- Follow GMPs, safety procedures, and quality standards to maintain safe and compliant operations
- Manage rework, perishable ingredients, and inventory handling to minimize loss
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Grade 12 education or equivalent with basic math skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced production environment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a diverse team setting
- Ability to read and complete legible documentation
- Ability to follow safety, GMP, and quality procedures after training
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks including reaching, bending, lifting up to 20 lbs., and standing for long periods
- Ability to clock in/out reliably using company timekeeping systems
- Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Open availability to work assigned shifts
- Previous experience in a factory or warehouse setting
- Familiarity with production equipment operation
- Ability to communicate effectively with leads, coworkers, and supervisors
- Knowledge of allergen handling procedures
