About the Role
We are seeking a Mixer to join our team at our Winnipeg bakery. As a Mixer, you will be accountable for accurately scaling, weighing, assembling, and mixing ingredients to meet product specifications and support uninterrupted production flow. This role is vital to ensure consistent product quality, adherence to food‑safety standards, and efficient coordination with production and warehouse teams.

- Shift: Rotating Continental
- Hours: 12‑hour shifts
- Weekend Availability: Required
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $18.28
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)
- Scale, weigh, and mix ingredients accurately according to formula sheets and production schedules
- Operate mixing and related equipment in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner
- Complete required documentation, including pre‑op inspections, lot codes, waste records, and SAP entries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas in accordance with GMP and safety standards
- Communicate product quality issues, deficiencies, or equipment concerns to Leads, Line Operators, or Supervisors
- Manage rework and perishable ingredients to minimize waste and ensure timely usage
- Support team operations by performing Mixer Assistant duties and other tasks as needed
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills required for accurate scaling and documentation
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet physical requirements (standing for long periods, lifting up to 20 lbs., bending, reaching)
- Ability to follow safety, scheduling, and quality processes after training
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
- Previous experience in factory, warehouse, or food‑production environments
- Knowledge of ingredient handling, allergens, and production equipment
- Ability to work all assigned shifts with schedule flexibility
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments
