As a Production Supervisor at Aspire Bakeries, you will lead a team of unionized workers in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment. You will ensure that our products are made on time, within budget, and with the highest quality and safety standards. You will also communicate effectively with management and other departments to achieve our business goals. Responsibilities:

  • Meets with employees to provide performance feedback and coaching, as well as sets performance goal expectations.
  • Monitoring of plant labour and material efficiencies and daily reporting.
  • Responsible for programs created to reduce waste, reduce downtime, and improve productivity.
  • Ensure a safe workplace by implementing systems, policies, and safety improvements, and active membership in the OH&S committee.
  • Ensuring compliance with QA, GMP, and food safety disciplines.
  • Deep involvement and leadership in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Involvement in R&D projects and formula improvement initiatives.
  • An active member of sustainability improvement and energy reduction teams.
  • Assist and provide direction with employee scheduling
  • Flexibility to work multiple shifts
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education with good oral and written English skills
  • 3-5 years of experience supervising unionized workers.
  • Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Understanding of Collective Agreements is preferred
  • Experience with SAP and MS Office
