Responsible for the proper, safe, and efficient cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment and facility. This entails the disassembly and assembly of equipment and parts.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work in accordance with Company policies, Departmental procedures, G.M.P (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, Food Safety, and Workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Must be punctual, flexible, and organized.
  • Safe and correct use of equipment, supplies, and cleaning chemicals. 
  • Able to read and understand M. S. D. S. and product labels.     
  • Perform a visual self-inspection on all items, responsible for cleaning and taking necessary corrective action for unsatisfactory items.
  • Clean the Plant in a methodical manner and organize it for the following day’s production.
  • Disassemble, assemble and account for all parts and equipment.
  • Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner as assigned.
  • Inform Leadhand of equipment deficiencies observed during disassembly or cleaning.
  • Responsible to carry out duties as specified by the sanitation Leadhand or designate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to understand the scheduling process.
  • Physically capable of lifting 45kg (100 lbs).
  • Must be willing to work all shifts as assigned.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision and in a team environment.
  • Must complete WHMIS, chemical handling, and sanitation training sessions successfully.
  • Able to assemble/disassemble and troubleshoot equipment.
