About the Role

We are seeking a Shipper/Receiver (Union) to join our team at our Winnipeg bakery. As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be accountable for the accurate shipping, receiving, storage, and rotation of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to support uninterrupted daily production operations.

Shift: Rotating Continental
Hours: 12‑hour shifts
Weekend Availability: Required

 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $20.62

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing)

  • Operate electric pallet jacks, reach stackers, and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, storage, rotation, and issuing of materials using FEFO principles.
  • Assemble, pick, verify, load, and unload shipments in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, SAP entries, shipping paperwork, and daily warehouse records.
  • Support production by ensuring uninterrupted delivery of materials to the floor.
  • Maintain freezer, warehouse, and cooler areas, including equipment checks, sanitation, and temperature logs.
  • Assist in inventory counts, audits, and compliance with BRC and food safety requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • Minimum Grade 12 education with strong oral and written English skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating electric reach stackers and pallet jacks.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of basic inventory controls.
  • Proven good attendance record.
  • Strong basic math skills and effective communication abilities.

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Knowledge of SAP and RF gun use.
  • Understanding of scheduling processes and warehouse flow.
  • Experience with food safety, quality, and safety programs.
  • Prior experience in a freezer, warehouse, or cooler environment.
  • Ability to interpret and follow shipping, receiving, and production documentation.
