About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 3 – Bakery Production (Mixer) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 3 – Mixer, you will be accountable for accurately scaling and mixing ingredients to meet product specifications while ensuring quality, safety, and operational efficiency across all production runs.

 

Shift & Schedule

Shift: 3rd Shift
Weekend availability: Required

 

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

  • Execute ingredient scaling and mixing processes to meet product specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor and document production data, including dough temperature, mix times, and ingredient usage
  • Communicate effectively with production teams to maintain workflow efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues, escalating when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, GMPs, and company safety standards at all times
  • Maintain accurate records, including lot tracking, production logs, and issue documentation
  • Support team operations through training, collaboration, and maintaining a clean and organized work area

 

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math and timekeeping skills
  • Ability to make logical decisions and follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently carry over 20 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical movements throughout the shift
  • Willingness to work in varying environments (hot, cold, noisy, or confined spaces)

 

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or bakery production environment
  • Familiarity with SAP or production tracking systems
  • Experience operating mixing or industrial food production equipment
  • Understanding of food safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Experience training or mentoring team members
